CLASS STRUCTURE
The HSCC Thundersports Series is open to Sports Racing, GT Cars of a type that would have competed in the World Endurance Championship, or other International Competition up to 31.12.79.
FIA date Classifications: GR, G1, G2, HR, H1, H2, I, & IR.
All cars must have HSCC Vehicle Identification Forms.
Class SP1: Sports Racing Cars built to FIA Period specification for the years 01.01.67 – 31.12.71 under 2 litre (Excluding All BDG powered open Sports cars)
Class SP2: Sports Racing Cars built up to built to FIA Period specification for the years 01.01.65 - 31.12.71 over 2 litre
Class SP3: Sports Racing Cars built to FIA Period specification for the years 01.01.72 - 31.12.79 under 2 litre (Including All BDG Powered open Sports Cars from the period 01.01.70 – 31.12.74)
Class SP4: Sports Racing Cars built built to FIA Period specification for the years up to 01.01.72 to 31.12.79 over 2 litre
Class S20: Invitation Class for Sports 2000 Pinto cars built before the end of 1990 complying with the rules set out for FIA Appendix K classes SR2/2 and SR2/3.
Class GT1: GT and Touring Cars built to FIA Period specification for the years 01.01.69 to 31.12.74.
Class GT2: GT and Touring Cars built to FIA Period Group 1 – Group 5 specification for the years from 01.01.75 – 31.12.84
Class INV: Invitation Class for GT, Touring and sports cars racing cars, to include GT & Touring Cars conforming to IMSA & Trans Am Regulations built prior to 31.12.84 which may be accepted at the organisers’ discretion.
