YOUR HSCC
The HSCC is a Club that has stood the test of time and continues to deliver to our members, through a shared competitive spirit, the ability to enjoy historic motor racing in a safe, fair, fun, inclusive and progressive environment.
Our values promote high levels of safety on and off the track, create a community of like-minded people who are passionate about their sport and embody all that is good about working as a team and benefitting from the shared experience of the Club and its members.
HERITAGE
The HSCC was created in 1966 by a small group of enthusiasts, notably Guy Griffiths and Betty Haig.
They were frustrated by a lack of races for older sports cars and wanted to stop them being modified, inappropriately, beyond their original specification or exported.
Members say that the Club was formed to help competitors enjoy themselves racing ‘nice proper cars’ on interesting circuits.
From the Club’s first race, at Castle Combe in May 1966, won by Neil Corner’s Jaguar D-Type the HSCC is proud to have played a role in making historic racing a major part of the UK racing scene.

VISION
Today, the HSCC is a thriving, innovative and experienced organiser of historic racing and historic championships and series. The Club is home to cars from the late 1940s right through to the early years of the 2000s.
The HSCC intends to ensure that historic motor racing remains viable, sustainable and relevant to the ever changing demographic of racers and spectators alike. The Club is actively engaged in ensuring that the environmental impact of our sport is minimised and eventually neutralised.
